Elijo hojas y trozos de árboles para representar el tiempo en suspensión de una danza. La idea comienza 20 años atrás, cuando realizo cerca de 1000 dibujos de no más de tres líneas en donde represento los movimientos básicos del ballet (saltar, estirar, doblar, elevar, girar, deslizar, lanzar o precipitar). Decido llevar adelante esta idea con fotografías, descubro que esas piezas dejadas en el suelo por los árboles, apelan a identificarnos con ellas. Cada una de las piezas que fotografié las di vuelta, y las probé para ver su intensidad expresiva. Cada una de las piezas elegidas contiene la expresión del movimiento, y la forma de las hojas, color y estado ¨tienen un vestuario¨ de carácter teatral que colabora a la plasticidad narrativa y expresividad poética de las mismas.
I choose leaves and pieces of trees to represent the suspended time of a dance. The idea began twenty years ago, when I made about a thousand drawings of no more than three lines representing the basic movements of ballet (jumping, stretching, folding, lifting, turning, sliding, throwing or precipitating). I decide to take this idea forward with photographs, I discover that these pieces left on the ground by the trees appeal to us to identify with them. Each of the pieces I photographed I turned them over, and tried them out to see their expressive intensity. Each of the chosen pieces contains the expression of movement, and the shape of the leaves, color and state have a theatrical costume that contributes to the narrative plasticity and poetic expressiveness of them.
